Google Calendar API: /auth/calendar

  • We are using the above scope to fetch the user’s calendar and create/update events
  • We are sending an email to the end-users with the sessions created for them on our platform.
  • In the email along with the .ics file with the details of the session, we are providing a button. Upon click, sessions will be added to their google calendar.
  • By clicking on the “Add to Google Calendar” the user approves the use of an API to create sessions in their Google Calendar.
  • The same procedure is followed whenever any session is updated or rescheduled. We are sending an email to them. Once the user clicks the update related details will be updated in the google calendar for the respective session.
  • We are only storing the event id which we receive when the event is created in the google calendar (To use it to update the event when any change is made).
